Autumn Ramey


Autumn strives to inspire and emotionally impact audiences through the storytelling of music. Their musical style is influenced by diverse genres from around the world including: Western Impressionism, Celtic, Flamenco, Rock, and Latin American styles. Autumn has been playing the harp since they were 5 and composing since the age of 8.  Autumn graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2023 with a B.M. focused in Film and Media Scoring and Composition with minors in Conducting and Spanish Arts and Culture.

Autumn composes music for media such as: film, TV, video games, and more. In 2022 they were one of six composers chosen to participate in an advanced film scoring and orchestration course at Berklee where they composed, orchestrated, and conducted their own cues for a full orchestra and recorded them in the Shames Studio.

Autumn also composes contemporary concert music for solo, chamber, choir, and orchestra. Their recent works include: Secrets Shared with the Forest (dual song cycle for soprano, alto flute, and piano), Waltz of the Trolls and Fairies (solo piano work commissioned by the Rivers School Conservatory), and Oceanscape (trio for flute, horn and harp). In 2023, Autumn received the Jim Reyes Award for outstanding vocal composition. Autumn enjoys combining modality with contemporary techniques and impressionistic colors. Their music evokes pictures and emotions from nature, fantasy, and the inner self. 

Autumn has studied composition with Elena Roussanova Lucas, Greg Glancy, and Alla Elana Cohen and participated in a workshops with Chaya Czernowin and Nan Schwartz. Autumn also studied media scoring with Claudio Ragazzi, Timothy Huling, and Jeanine Cowen.



As a harpist, Autumn has performed for many orchestras and venues throughout their life. They have played in orchestras such as: Boston Civic Symphony, New England Film Orchestra, Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra, Berklee Motion Picture Orchestra, Brockton Symphony, and others. Autumn also plays for weddings, luncheons, church programs, and more and has played at venues such as Symphony Hall in Boston, and Jordan Hall.

Autumn has studied with Felice Pomeranz, Ellie Choate, Stephanie Bennett, and Julie Smith Phillips.

While at Berklee, Autumn received the Felice Pomeranz Endowed Harp Scholarship, Thrive Scholarship, and Divisional Achievement Awards from the Composition and Strings departments.

Currently, Autumn resides in Massachusetts. They also enjoy digital drawing, knitting, crocheting, reading, and cuddling their cats Sergei and Clara.
